Remote and Flexible Learning
Dear parents and guardians, I hope this letter finds you and your family well and hope you are managing the challenging times we are currently living in. As you know, information about the COVID-19 situation changes daily and it impacts our lives greatly. One of the recent announcements from Premier Andrews is that students will be learning remotely from the 20th of July to the 19th of August 2020.
During our time in the virtual environment, we would like to mention that;
Tasks will be graded.
Attendance will be required and tracked.
Live lessons for English and Maths will be scheduled
Compass: This is where your child’s schedule will be visible. The Compass lesson plan will have the instructions for the lesson. Both you and your child can see this when you login to Compass.
• English– on any given day, this could be reading, spelling and/or writing.
• Maths
• Integrated Studies – this is a ‘general studies’ subject that will include their integrated lessons, as well as some wellbeing.
Students will also have 30 minutes of physical activity each day, as well as a specialist lesson.
Google Classroom: Resources and activities will be posted to Google Classroom. Students can ask questions, and submit their work online to their teacher via Google Classroom.
