We encourage parents to get involved in our College and come up with ideas for programs to help their families, the College and the neighbourhood.
Parents are important partners with us in their child’s learning.
What can I currently get involved in?

Parent Advisory Group
Join the team every second Friday at 10.30am to find out what’s going on around the college & make new friends.
This group helps with school fundraising and gives parents and carers an opportunity to hear about college issues and have a voice.
Paint Doveton REaD
This initiative encourages the whole community to read, talk, sing and rhyme with children from birth, so that they will be ready for reading and writing at school. Paint The Town REaD encourages local ownership by engaging the whole of community i.e. the butcher, the police, local sports people and all parents to promote and recognise that early literacy is fun and for everyone to get involved in.
A group of parents, community members and staff meet and plan activities. If you would like to get involved please speak to the community team.
Volunteering at Doveton College
Our organisation involves volunteers in its work because of our belief that learning occurs in partnership with parents and with the support of the community.
Help us to provide support and quality programs to the community.
Contribute ideas and energy, giving invaluable support to children, families and staff.
Work with professional, committed and enthusiastic staff.
Have a stimulating and personally fulfilling role.
Expand your skills and experience. Alternatively, we can support you to discover roles outside of the College through links with various Not For Profits and Volunteer recruitment agencies.
Roles at Doveton College are varied and flexible and we can work with you to discover a path which is appropriate to your goals while providing support and enrichment to our children and families. All volunteers are supported by appropriate management systems, the Program staff and the Volunteer Coordinator.
If you are interested in volunteering at Doveton College, please fill out the Application Form below and contact our Volunteers Coordinator on (03)8765 0111.
