Dedicated Wellbeing Team

Our multidisciplinary Wellbeing Team works collaboratively to support every student’s wellbeing, engagement and learning.

The team includes professionals from a range of disciplines who provide expertise in:

  • Mental Health

  • Student wellbeing

  • Family engagement

  • Disability inclusion

  • Attendance and engagement

  • Case management

  • Student support coordination

The team works closely with teachers, education support staff, families and external agencies to provide holistic support for students.

Individual Support Plans

Some students benefit from personalised wellbeing planning to ensure they receive coordinated and consistent support.

Individual support plans may include:

  • identify strengths and goals

  • Adjustments and strategies

  • Safety planning

  • Attendance support

  • Collaboration with families

  • Regular review meetings

  • Partnerships with external professionals

Plans are developed collaboratively with students, families, school staff and, where appropriate, external agencies.

Counselling + Referral Systems

The Wellbeing Team provides a safe, supportive and confidential space for students experiencing social, emotional or mental health challenges. Students can access support by self-referring, being referred by a parent/carer or staff member, or through our wellbeing triage process.

Support may include:

  • Individual counselling

  • Wellbeing check-ins

  • Risk assessment and safety planning

  • Family support and consultation

  • Referrals to external services where additional support is required

  • Coordinated care with health and community providers

Our referral systems ensure students receive the right support, at the right time, from the right people.

Small Group & Targeted Programs

Throughout the year, students may participate in evidence-informed small group programs designed to develop social, emotional and behavioural skills.

Programs may focus on:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Friendship and social skills

  • Anxiety management

  • Resilience

  • Self-esteem

  • Coping strategies

  • School engagement

  • Leadership development

Programs are tailored to identified student needs and delivered in a supportive group environment.

Whole-School Behaviour & Wellbeing Frameworks

Positive wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility. Our whole-school approach promotes safe, respectful and inclusive learning environments where students can thrive.

Wellbeing Programs Embedded in Curriculum

Wellbeing is integrated into teaching and learning across all year levels.

Students participate in age-appropriate learning that supports:

  • Protective behaviours

  • Help-seeking skills

These learning opportunities help students build lifelong skills that support both wellbeing and academic success.

Transition & Support Programs

Starting at a new school or moving between year levels can be exciting and challenging.

Our transition programs support students and families during key stages of their educational journey, including:

  • Kindergarten to Foundation

  • Primary to Secondary transition

  • Year level transitions

  • School enrolments

  • Individual transition planning

  • Disability and Inclusion (adjustments and funding)

  • Additional support for students with identified needs

Our goal is to help every student feel connected, confident and ready to learn.

Practical Wellbeing Initiatives

Wellbeing is often supported through small, practical actions that make a meaningful difference to students’ daily experience at school.

Initiatives may include:

  • Breakfast and food support

  • Quiet and regulated spaces

  • Sensory supports

  • Lunchtime wellbeing activities

  • Attendance and engagement supports

  • Resource assistance

  • Community connection opportunities

These initiatives help reduce barriers to learning while promoting inclusion, connection and a sense of belonging.

External Partnerships

We work closely with a range of community organisations and specialist services to ensure students and families have access to comprehensive support.

Our partnerships may include:

  • Mental health services

  • Onsite NDIS service delivery

  • Child and family services

  • Allied health professionals

  • Youth support agencies

  • Disability services

  • Health providers

  • Cultural and community organisations

  • Department of Education specialist services
